Polydactyly In Sequential Art

Polydactylic characters in sequential art/graphic narratives/comics—whatever you want to call them—seem quite rare. Possibly even more rare than in real life. Here is one I found in the January 1990 issue of Heavy Metal magazine, a tale written and illustrated by one Juan Giménez. It’s called “The Fourth Quarter”, and it’s about a conflict between the people of Earth and a humanoid race called the Krommiun. The latter look identical to Earth humans, except for having six fingers on each hand and six toes on each foot. Though the extra finger is sometimes depicted as noticeably smaller than the others, and seems almost vestigial. But this is not consistent.
